About Dr. ChungDr. Doug Chung is a board-certified Otolaryngologist. He grew up in Atlanta, where he attended Emory University School of Medicine as a Robert Woodruff Scholar. After medical school, he completed five years of training in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, Throat, Sinus) and Head & Neck Surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University.
Dr. Chung was an Associate Clinical Professor of the Department of Otolaryngology at Emory University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the Georgia Head and Neck Society. Dr. Chung was a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Washington DC and has presented his original research at various conferences including Cochlear Implants in Children and the New York Research Symposium. His research has also been published in the leading journal Otology-Neurotology. Dr. Chung was trained in and uses the latest technologies, many of which were developed in the last few years, including in-office balloon sinuplasty for chronic sinusitis sufferers, stereotactic image guidance for sinus surgery and intra-operative facial/laryngeal nerve monitoring.
